Orange For The Sunsets By: Tina Athaide

Imagine being best friends with one person and they have to leave your life forever because of what others think of their kind. In the book, “Orange for the Sunsets’ ‘ by Tina Athaide that’s exactly what happens. There are two characters Asha and Yesofu who have been friends their whole life, no one could separate them. One day on a sunny evening while outside, Yesofus mom gets an alert from her friend and is shocked by what she just heard. The Ugandan President has stated that “all Indians have 90 days to leave Uganda”. What struck first to Yesofus mind was what were they going to do without his friend., but he couldn’t jump to that conclusion just yet. They had to have a solution, they couldn’t let the president separate the bestest of friends. They would come up with solutions like hiding out with Yesofu. They would run from the cops, later in the book they would find any sort of solutions for them not to be separated from one another. Will Asha be forced to leave and not hide with Yesofu from the government or will Yesofu put their friendship first and risk it all? Find out by reading Orange for the Sunsets by Tina Athaide.
